A refreshing new Christmas story - PB
Combining a helpful snake with a Christmas story is an inventive idea and a very nice way to give children an appreciation for a reptile instead of fear. Such a different character from the usual teddy bear or family pet! Nate is lovable and I like the name of the snake,"NateNate", combined with the usual sly Huston humor.
Try "Don't Go To College, Go To Europe Instead" if you want a full dose of his hilarious view of the modern education system.

A great Christmas story - full of fun, adventure and also informative about snakes with interesting vocabulary. Especially enjoyed the delightful illustrations! Would definitely recommend this book about a sweet and endearing Christmas snake.

I think that kids of all ages will love this book and I highly recommend it. It is an amusing tale about a charming and misunderstood little snake named “Nate-Nate” who just wants to join in the celebration of Christmas. After many comical and failed attempts, his persistence is rewarded with a heartwarming ending. The colorful illustrations bring the story to life. The clever writing will also amuse grown-ups. I laughed out loud when the "bow took a bow".
